Kenton County Bankruptcy & Debt Relief Help

Over the years, I had helped G.K. with a number of legal issues for his trucking business.  So I wasn’t really surprised to see a message to call him laying on my desk when I got back from court.

I called his office and set up a meeting for the following week.  On the day of the meeting, he walks in with his office manager and his accountant.  In my experience, when the accountant tags along with the business owner to a meeting with an attorney, that means a company is in trouble.

After 30 seconds of conversation, my thoughts were correct – his company was in trouble.  He owned a successful trucking company but the bad economy had not been kind to him.

Sitting in front of me was a man, that in the not-to-distant-past, had a net-worth of more than $2 million dollars.  Now he was being sued by other companies to collect on debts that his company owed – and he has looking at losing his home and his 401k.

He wanted to survive this, pay the debts without losing his dignity – and keep his home and 401k.

We set about planning a bankruptcy filing for his business and over the next 6 months, we met ten to fifteen times.

We then had the right bankruptcy plan in place to dissolve the company and protect a significant amount of his personal assets.

At the end of the day, he was able to keep his home, his cars…and his 401k.
